Making Toast by Roger Rosenblatt
I really enjoyed this book. It was actually written as an essay, but now printed as a book. It is real life. An accounting of the author's life when their physician daughter dies suddenly, and they make a decision to move in with their son in law and grandchildren to help out after her death. It was an easy and quick read. My heart broke with the family for the loss and sadness they feel but I also feel the strength they each show in their own ways.
